City were due to host Steve Bruce’s side on Saturday 28 September, subject to fixture rescheduling pending the outcome of the group stage draw for the UEFA Champions League.
The fixture remains live on Sky Sports.
The Foxes have already faced Newcastle this term, beating them on penalties in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
All tickets printed with the initial date and time will remain valid for the rescheduled kick-off date and time. Tickets are currently on sale to all Fox Members and Season Ticket Holders.
