The 19-year-old, who has often been deployed in a more advanced position this season, has scored on two occasions for the Club's Development Squad over the past month.
Netting in victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, Wright has been an impressive figure for City's youngsters, who are now unbeaten in six matches in all competitions.
Leicester's Under-23s, who face Manchester City at Academy Stadium in Premier League 2 Division 1 on Friday evening (7pm kick-off), are currently fifth in the table after nine matches.
Wright is one of seven players to be nominated for the award, the winner of which will be announced on Friday 8 November on the Premier League's official online channels.
The shortlist was chosen by the Premier League Football Development panel after coaches nominated the best performances by opposing players in each league fixture.
