- Right-back Ricardo Pereira was delighted with the team spirit on show at Selhurst Park
- Ricardo was also pleased to see defensive colleague Söyüncü get off the mark
Leicester City returned to third place in the league following their seventh win in 11 matches, with Çağlar Söyüncü and Jamie Vardy finding the net at Selhurst Park.
Alongside sixth-placed Sheffield United, the Foxes have the joint-best defensive record in the league after conceding on only eight occasions so far this season.
Reflecting on that achievement, Portugal international Ricardo told LCFC TV: "Of course, we want to [concede] as few goals as possible.
Ricardo's Defensive Pride
Ricardo Pereira says Leicester City were thrilled to keep a shutout during Sunday's Premier League win over Crystal Palace.
"That’s our job, but not only the defenders, the whole team, it’s important for that. If we don’t take goals, we closer to winning the game.
"We knew before the game it was a difficult game here, away, but we [got] a good result. We won, [got] a clean sheet and three points.
"It’s been four games without winning against them, so we were happy. [We] keep the momentum, and we’re happy for the next game [vs. Arsenal]."
Ricardo says Leicester's players were particularly pleased with the nature of their performance, playing stylish attacking football at times, but also proving equal to Palace's physicality.

Goals from Çağlar Söyüncü and Jamie Vardy seal a 2-0 success for Leicester City at Selhurst Park.
The 26-year-old right-back was also delighted for defensive colleague Söyüncü, who netted his first goal for the Football Club with a well-taken header in the 57th minute.
"Yes, of course, we cannot always play well, with a beautiful game to watch," he added. "Today, the tackles, to beat strong as a team, that’s what we showed today."
"It’s very good. He’s (Söyüncü) a good lad. It’s important for him to score, to gain confidence, and we are all happy for him."
