EURO 2020 Qualification For Schmeichel's Denmark
- Kasper Schmeichel's Denmark secured qualification for UEFA EURO 2020
- Denmark drew 1-1 with Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium
- Leicester City's No.1 earned his 53rd international cap
Having kept a clean sheet in Denmark's 6-0 success over Gibraltar on Friday, Schmeichel was named on the teamsheet for his 53rd international appearance.
CD Leganés forward Martin Braithwaite gave the Danes a 73rd-minute lead in Dublin before Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Matt Doherty restored parity 12 minutes later.
A 1-1 draw at the Aviva Stadium was enough for Denmark to finish second in Group D and qualify for next summer's tournament, along with group winners Switzerland.
