Söyüncü, who has risen from a relatively unknown quantity to one of the most impressive defenders in the Premier League, talks us through his journey from İzmir, where he was born, through to his move to Germany and then onto England.
The 23-year-old cover star became the first player in history to be transferred from Turkey’s second division to the Bundesliga, and following the November international break, has now been capped 28 times for his country.
Meanwhile, Tielemans also speaks to LCFCQ at length about the decision to join the Foxes after a productive loan spell, the city’s similarities to Brussels and how he feels at home in Leicester.
LCFCQ Issue 10
Turkey defender Çağlar Söyüncü is one of two first team players to feature in LCFCQ Issue 10.
Sticking with a global theme, the quarterly magazine’s third feature interview is with South Africa youth international Khanya Leshabela, who moved to England as a youngster at the turn of the century and has risen through the ranks at the Club’s Academy.
Leshabela, a regular in Leicester City’s Under-23s outfit, discusses the close bond he has with some of his team-mates, why the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa meant so much to him and his nation, and what’s to come after signing a new contract in January 2019.
There is also photographic feature on the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden, which opened on the one-year anniversary of the death of the Club’s Chairman, Khun Vichai, and four others, and is now accessible during daylight hours.

In a regular column, meanwhile, Arlo White provides us with an insight into his recent experiences as an international broadcast journalist, and logs his travels in Tampa Bay, Chicago and London.
Finally, Leicester City’s Kit Manager, Paul McAndrew, brings readers up to speed with the ins and outs of his role, including how a phone call from Martin O’Neill after the 1996 European Championships prompted a change in skillset.
