Filbert Fox and Gerry Taggart in Miami

Taggart & Filbert Land In The Sunshine State For Miami Fan Festival

Leicester City favourite Gerry Taggart and Filbert Fox landed in Miami on Wednesday evening ahead of a two-day football festival on the shores of the sunshine state of Florida!

- Former Leicester City defender Gerry Taggart and mascot Filbert Fox have landed in the sunshine state
- A packed schedule awaits as Gerry and Filbert try to meet as many Stateside Foxes fans as possible
- Supporters will come together to watch Saturday's clash with Norwich City on the shores of Miami's South Beach

Located between the stunning Biscayne Bay and mild shores of the Atlantic Ocean, a two-day Premier League extravaganza is coming to the rooftop of Miami's iconic Clevelander South Beach Hotel.

Following a similar event in Austin, Texas earlier this year, NBC's Premier League Mornings Live fan festival rolls into Miami this weekend, bringing the vibrancy of English football to a whole new audience.

Temperatures of 30 degrees and breath-taking views over Miami's South Beach are expected on Saturday as Taggart and Filbert sit down with the international Blue Army to watch Brendan Rodgers' men in action.

City's clash with Norwich City (3pm GMT kick-off) is set to be one of the headline fixtures in Florida, over 7,000 miles away from Filbert Way, as the Foxes go in search of a ninth-consecutive top-flight victory.

Upon arrival in Miami, Filbert took Gerry on a boat tour of the city.

On Thursday, Taggart will stage coaching sessions for local youngsters, before a casual breakfast catch-up with supporters from all four corners of the United States on the white sands of South Beach on Friday.

Filbert, meanwhile, is set to meet up with Miami Heat's Burnie and the Miami Dolphins' T.D. mascots at the AmericanAirlines Arena and Hard Rock Stadium - two of the most iconic venues in American sport.

Naturally, Saturday is the main event with the Club's Supporter Engagement Team on hand to to provide free giveaways, while Taggart shares memories of his playing days with hundreds of Premier League fans.

Premier League Mornings Live is intended to celebrate the devotion it takes to be a Stateside supporter, an existence which includes early rises to watch their favourite sides in action across the pond.

City's encounter with Norwich is a 10am kick-off locally, but fans in the States regularly have to set their alarms for even more unsocial hours, with early Saturday fixtures usually taking place at 7:30am.

Nonetheless, the Club's supporter base in the USA continues to grow at a rapid pace, shown by the popularity of their stay in New York City, with Matt Elliott and Steve Walsh, last winter.

"It is truly a privilege to be in the stunning city of Miami," Taggart said this week. "I can't wait to meet up with the supporters over the coming couple of days, sharing our love for Leicester City Football Club.

There was plenty of fun for Filbert and Gerry on day one in the sunshine state.

"We have legions of fans all over the world who wake up early, sometimes in the middle of the night, to watch the lads in action, so it's important that we bring the Club to them whenever we can.

"I did a similar event out in Bangalore a few years ago and loved every minute of it, so I can't wait to spend time with the fans over here for what I'm sure is going to be an unforgettable weekend!"

Stay tuned to Leicester City's official website and social media channels to see what Gerry and Filbert get up to on the shores of Miami's breath-taking South Beach over the coming days!
