- Bilal El Khannouss plays a part in Morocco's big win
- Victor Kristiansen and Jannik Vestergaard both feature
- Wilfred Ndidi an unused substitute for Nigeria

El Khannouss was introduced as a half-time substitute in Morocco's 7-0 thrashing of Lesotho at Honneur Stadium in Oujda, which saw Brahim Diaz score a first-half hat-trick, alongside Soufiane Rahimi's brace and goals from Youssef En-Nesyri and Ismael Saibari.

The result ensured Walid Regragui's men maintained a 100 per cent record in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, topping Group B by a margin of eight points.

Over in the UEFA Nations League, Kristiansen and Vestergaard both played 90 minutes for Denmark, twice coming from behind before losing 3-2 to Spain and confirming second place in League A Group 4.

Kristiansen puts a challenge in on former Foxes forward Ayoze Pérez.

After Pedri missed from the spot, Yéremi Pino gave the hosts the lead at Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López, but Joel Monteiro levelled matters in the second half. A Bryan Gil goal looked to have settled matters, until Andi Zeqiri equalised with an 86th-minute penalty.

The drama didn't end there and Spain were then awarded their second penalty of the evening in stoppage-time, which was duly converted by Bryan Zaragoza to claim three points at the death.

Earlier in the day, Wilfred Ndidi was an unused substitute as Nigeria lost 2-1 to Rwanda in the Super Eagles' final AFCON qualifier. Having already secured their place in the 2025 tournament, Augustine Eguavoen's side finished top of Group D with 11 points from six matches.

Danny Ward could be in action on Tuesday evening, meanwhile, with Wales set to host Iceland at Cardiff City Stadium (7:45pm GMT kick-off). It's the Dragons' final Nations League B Group 4 fixture, currently sitting in second place.
