Leicester City are the visitors to the home of the Sky Bet Championship outfit, who are currently fifth in the second-tier standings, five points adrift of the top two.
Rodgers acknowledged the progress made over previous seasons as Thomas Frank continues to build on the foundations laid by his predecessors to establish the Bees as a force.
"It’s a club over the last number of years that have very much been (a side that plays fluid football)," the 46-year-old told the national media on Friday afternoon.
"I go back to when Mark Warburton was there. Mark always put in place a really expansive style and a creative style of football.
"Dean Smith went in and Dean did a fantastic job when he was there and, again, I think it’s the philosophy of the club."
A commitment to playing courageously in the Championship, a division not always associated with possession football, has also struck Rodgers during his analysis of Brentford.
Brentford Have The Courage To Play Football, Says Rodgers
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers spoke to the national media on Friday ahead of the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Brentford.
"I’ve enjoyed analysing them because I’ve seen them obviously before, but not in great detail," he continued.
"They have the courage to play football in the Championship, which is deemed a league that you maybe can’t play in, which is totally untrue - you can.
"You can play football, you can be aggressive, but still play a creative brand, and they certainly do that. Their positioning game is very, very good, they play in 4-3-3, their movement is good.
"They have the courage to play the game from behind and they’re a good side, so it’s going to be a really, really tough game for us. That's what we're anticipating."
The Northern Irishman believes Frank will face a similar selection situation as himself, with both sides also contesting important fixtures on Tuesday.
Rodgers On Squad's Fitness & Transfer Options
Manager Brendan Rodgers discussed the fitness of Jamie Vardy and Papy Mendy, while also answering questions on the January transfer market.
Brentford tackle promotion rivals Nottingham Forest at Griffin Park, while the Foxes face the second leg of their Carabao Cup Semi-Final at Aston Villa.
However, Rodgers is sure that, which ever starting XI his counterpart names on Saturday, the underlying style of play will remain consistent with their season so far.
"I think he’ll be similar to myself in terms that, no matter what the team is, the style doesn’t change," he added.
"The team can change, the system could even change, but the style won’t. They’ll still see building from the back as an opportunity, rather than a risk.
"Lots of people talk about building from behind and see it as a huge risk. It’s an opportunity if you break through and get out through the lines.
"Again, I’m sure he’ll want to put out a team to get the result."
