Delighted To Be Back On Track, Says Wright
- Leicester City's Development Squad beat Dinamo Zagreb at Holmes Park on Monday
- Callum Wright netted twice for City's youngsters in a 2-1 victory
- The victory wasn't enough to see the Foxes into the Premier League International Cup quarter-finals
- However, Wright says Leicester can be pleased to be back to winning ways ahead of a big week
While the 2-1 success over Dinamo Zagreb wasn't enough to secure passage to the quarter-finals, a brace from Wright himself sealed a 13th win in 15 for the Foxes.
It came following an uncharacteristic 3-0 reverse at Arsenal last week which ultimately denied them qualification from Group A, but the 19-year-old was pleased with the performance.
"Everyone is delighted," Wright told LCFC TV at full-time at Holmes Park. "It was a tough game but obviously I don’t think we qualify for the next round.
We had a lot of chances but we can’t score all of them, we’ve got to be realistic and at the end of the day, we won 2-1 so we’re happy.

"We finished second with six points, obviously we let ourselves down in the Arsenal game but we’re delighted tonight to come back from it.
"On a personal note, I’m happy to get the goals for the team but it was a good performance from the team in the end.
"After going 1-0 down, it was a good reaction to come back into the game.
"We had a lot of chances but we can’t score all of them, we’ve got to be realistic and at the end of the day, we won 2-1 so we’re happy."
City next play Premier League 2 Division 1 leaders Chelsea, who they trail by just three points, at EBB Stadium in Aldershot on Friday (7pm kick-off).

The following Tuesday, Leicester then head to Rodney Parade to play their rescheduled Leasing.com Trophy Quarter-Final tie against Newport County (7pm kick-off) with a last-four home tie with Salford City awaiting the victors of that clash in south Wales.
"Everyone’s excited for the Friday game and the next week’s game too, we’ve got some good games coming up so tonight has set us up nicely for it," Wright continued.
"They come fast to be fair, towards the end of the season you don’t really get as many but we’ve had a lot this month and a lot in February too so we’re looking forward to it."
