One Game At A Time, Says Rodgers

- Brendan Rodgers spoke to the national media ahead of the game

The Foxes go into the game against Villa sitting third in the top flight table, five points ahead of Chelsea, with an FA Cup Quarter-Final against the Blues to come later this month.
With the season entering the final stretch, the City manager wants to ensure that his side finish strongly and maintain a position in the table which rewards their efforts throughout the campaign.
Rodgers' Injury Update: Vardy, Chilwell & Ndidi
Brendan Rodgers gives a fitness update ahead of the Foxes' clash with Aston Villa at King Power Stadium.
“Everyone’s clear in our purpose now,” Rodgers told the national media on Friday. “It’s just one game at a time and we’ll put everything into the game. That’s Aston Villa, so we want to get the three points.
“We’ve got to concentrate on ourselves, on our own performance, and we know if we can bring our best game into each game between now and the end of the season, we’ll have a very good chance of winning, but it will never be easy, whoever we play.”
Following on from the trip to Norwich City, it’s another game against a team fighting to preserve their status in English football's top division.
While City came out on top in the league fixture between the sides at Villa Park, Rodgers is well aware of the task in hand.
He added: “I always think at this period, whoever you’re playing, on paper, it doesn’t mean anything, whether it’s a top team or a bottom team because everyone’s fighting for their life.
Every team is going to be pushing with a purpose and that’s no different to us.
Brendan Rodgers
“If a team has been down there for a long period of the season, you get to this stage of the season, and you know they’re going to be fighting for their lives.
“We’ve seen it over many years. Some players only turn up in March because the endgame is near and they know they’re going to be fighting, either for a promotion or fighting relegation.
“So, despite the name of the team that we’re playing, or where they sit in the league, every team is going to be pushing with a purpose and that’s no different to us.”
