Devlin struck City's opening goal of the 2020/21 FA Women's Championship before a brace of efforts from Natasha Flint - against her old team - wrapped up the three points for the hosts.
After playing such a prominent part in her side's maiden win of the season, midfielder Devlin was thrilled that Leicester were able to secure their first three points of the campaign.
"It was a really good team performance," City's No.7 told LCFC TV at full-time. "You know, we got the three points, got some goals and executed the game plan.
Devlin: We Executed The Game Plan
Opening goalscorer Charlie Devlin caught up with LCFC TV shortly after LCFC Women's 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
"It was a tremendous feeling and obviously anything to help the team get the three points. We've done a lot of pre-season bonding and gelling, and we've really hit off with each other.
"We've got such a good environment, a good culture and we're like a big family."
Devlin also paid tribute to the quality of Flint's performance at Farley Way Stadium as her two second-half efforts put the match beyond Blackburn in the latter moments.
"She could have scored more and I did say that to her!" Devlin joked. "But, yes, she's quality. You know, it showed today in today's performance.
"It's given us a lot of confidence. Obviously, if we keep executing the game plan and following the instructions and working for each other, then, you know, we'll get the results we need."
Back in competitive action after six months away, Devlin is confident that Leicester can now build on their opening day success as they look to challenge in the FA Women's Championship this term.
Next Sunday, the Foxes travel to Proact Stadium to tackle Sheffield United - who also picked up an impressive victory this weekend - in a 2pm kick-off.
"It's been frustrating, " she continued. "But we had a good pre-season and our performance today showed us we're ready for the league."
