Rodgers' Pre-Man Utd Fitness Update: Vardy & Söyüncü
- Leicester City welcome Manchester United to King Power Stadium on Boxing Day (12:30pm kick-off)
- The two sides are separated by just a solitary point in the Premier League's top four
- Brendan Rodgers says Jamie Vardy is fit and available for selection against the Red Devils
- The Foxes manager also provides an update on the progress of Çağlar Söyüncü's recovery
City's No.9, who has netted 13 goals in all competitions this season, was withdrawn late on during Sunday's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in north London.
However, Leicester manager Rodgers says the 33-year-old is nonetheless among the players in contention to appear against Ole Gunnar Solskjær's Red Devils (12:30pm kick-off).
"He will be fine for the game," the Northern Irishman confirmed on Tuesday. "It’s just a little bit of soreness in that (groin) area, which he’s had a few times, but he’ll be okay."
It gives us a chance to recover some players, which can help and allows us to be a fraction fresher for the weekend.

The Foxes will enjoy a six-day break from action after a hectic schedule of two-game weeks so far throughout the 2020/21 season.
Despite those circumstances, City have climbed to second in the Premier League, as well as reaching the UEFA Europa League Round of 32, this term already.
While delighted with their application so far, Rodgers believes the extended preparation time could be a benefit for Leicester ahead of Saturday's King Power Stadium clash.
"It gives us a chance to recover some players, which can help and allows us to be a fraction fresher for the weekend," the former Liverpool and Celtic manager added.
Leicester Leave North London With Tottenham Triumph
Both goals from the Foxes' superb Premier League victory over Tottenham in the Premier League in December 2020.
Söyüncü, meanwhile, has been absent over recent weeks with an adductor injury, but Rodgers says the Turkey international could be set for a return shortly.
"It’ll be pretty much the same squad," the 47-year-old said. "Söyüncü is close. If not for Saturday, he could be available for the Monday game which will be great.
"He’s training working well and other than that, everyone else is okay."
