Morgan Wins LMA Manager Of The Month Prize
- Jonathan Morgan named LMA Manager of the Month for December
- LCFC Women won all three of their league games during the month
- The Foxes are currently top of the FA Women’s Championship
Morgan, who also won the award in October, guided LCFC Women to three league wins during the month.
He presided over victories against London Bees (3-0), Charlton Athletic (2-0) and Blackburn Rovers (3-2) as the Foxes ended the calendar year at the top of the standings.
The prize was awarded by a panel including Marieanne Spacey-Cale MBE, Southampton's Head of Girls and Women’s Football/Head Coach, Jen O’Neill, the Editor of She Kicks, and Alan Curbishley, a LMA board member.
Speaking upon receiving his second Manager of the Month trophy of the season, Morgan told LCFC TV: “It’s always nice to be recognised for our achievements, but it’s the whole set-up here that has made this award possible.
“All I do is set the girls up to go out there and be the best version of themselves, but none of it could be possible without the support of the staff, and ultimately the players who get the results for us to put us in the limelight.
We’re very pleased with how December went, and like I say we want to push on now and have more success and keep doing what we’re doing.

“It shows that we’re doing something right here because the results speak for themselves right now. We’re only half-way through the season though and there’s a long way to go, but to receive a couple of awards already makes you feel better and gives you a bit of an extra push to be hungry for more.
“It was quite a congested month for us, and we kept the same starting XI throughout that time so it’s credit to the girls for staying fresh and putting in some good performances.
“We’re very pleased with how December went, and like I say we want to push on now and have more success and keep doing what we’re doing.”
LCFC Women are next in action on Sunday 10 January (2pm kick-off) when they host Sheffield United Women in the FA Women’s Championship.
