What's the injury news?

James Maddison

James Maddison was substituted after netting his 11th goal in all competitions during last Sunday's Premier League win at Aston Villa.

"We’ve got the same squad available, so the likes of James Maddison, Ayo Pérez are still not available," Brendan Rodgers said on Friday afternoon. "They continue to be out, so it’s the same squad.

"Over the course of the next week or so, we’ll probably, more or less, be going with the same squad we have. Even though those boys will just be coming back, they’ll not be ready for the game situation, they’ll just be rejoining the training squad.

"It’s a little bit of frustration because a few weeks ago, the squad was pretty strong. Obviously we’ve added to the injuries we’ve had, but maybe over the next couple of weeks we’ll start to get them back again and then we can have a good lot of them back and available."

The Foxes defeated Arsenal to climb to second in the Premier League in November 2019.

Jamie Vardy and James Maddison struck in the second half on Saturday 9 November, 2019 to secure a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at King Power Stadium.

Discussing the Foxes' victory, which put them second in the table after 12 games in 2019/20, Brendan Rodgers said: "We have thrown a hand grenade right into the middle of it all. We are working very, very well. We will just concentrate on our performance levels until 10 games to go and assess it then.

"I came here to make an impact and create something that we can hopefully sustain over a number of years."
