Liverpool Under-23s Claim PL2 Points In Merseyside
There were two Foxes changes from the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday with Sam Hughes making his return from injury, replacing Bayli Spencer-Adams in defence and Ethan Fitzhugh coming in for Thanawat Suengchitthawon.
It was the hosts who made a blistering start to the Premier League 2 Division 1 encounter in Merseyside, with forward Max Woltman netting on 12 minutes. Conor Bradley added a second just eight minutes later, assisted by Owen Beck, to put Liverpool in full control at the break.
There were no further goals in the second half until deep into added time when James Norris set up substitute Jack Bearne to secure three points for the home side.
It leaves Leicester 11th in the PL2 standings, with 13 points from their 12 matches, while Liverpool climb up to eighth having played a game more.
The Foxes youngsters return to Premier League 2 action on Friday 3 December, meeting Leeds United Under-23s, who sit one place and one point below the Foxes in the table, at LNER Community Stadium in York (7pm GMT kick-off).
