Leicester City Development Squad striker Jacob Wakeling has joined Sky Bet League 2 side Barrow in a loan deal until the end of the 2021/22 season, subject to Football League approval.

The 20-year-old striker joined the Foxes from non-league side Alvechurch in 2020 and went on to establish himself in the Development Squad with an impressive 10 goals in 19 appearances last term.
He has scored a further three goals this season and will now have an opportunity to continue his development in the Football League with Mark Cooper’s Barrow, who next travel to Colchester United in the league on Saturday afternoon.
