Leicester City’s Premier League clash at home to West Ham United on Sunday (4:30pm kick-off) will be dedicated to the Football v Homophobia campaign.

An initiative which exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels of football, Football v Homophobia was launched by the Justin Campaign in 2010.
The Justin Campaign was set-up in 2008 to demonstrate that 10 years after the tragic suicide of Justin Fashanu in 1998 that homophobia is still hugely prevalent in both grassroots and professional football.
As part of the fixture, LCFC’s first team players will warm-up in Football v Homophobia t-shirts, with branding visible throughout the stadium and further support shown on the Club’s social media channels.
Additionally, Foxes Pride - Leicester City’s LGBTQ+ supporter group - will have a stall on the brickweave prior to kick-off, and will host a celebration event at King Power Stadium after the game with representatives from Proud of Irons, Football v Homophobia and The FA.
Earlier this week, the Football Club and Foxes Pride were nominated in two categories at this year’s Football v Homophobia awards. The Club were nominated for the Professional Game award, with Foxes Pride recognised in the Supporters Group category. The winners will be announced on Friday 25 February, 2022.
