Carabao Cup

City To Discover Carabao Cup Opponents

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup will take place this week as Leicester City bid to lift the trophy for the fourth time.

City, who have reached at least the quarter-finals in four of the last five seasons, last won the League Cup in 2000, courtesy of a 2-1 win over Tranmere Rovers at Wembley. Ahead of this season's second round draw, here's what you need to know...

When is the draw?

We'll find out who we'll face in the second round after Sheffield Wednesday's tie against Sunderland on Wednesday evening. That match should finish at around 9:45pm and we'll be on hand to tell you the outcome of the draw on LCFC.com and @LCFC on social media.

Who could Leicester face?

The other 12 Premier League clubs not in European competitions and all Football League clubs to emerge through the first round will be part of the draw. However, the Carabao Cup remains regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until the third round.

When will the game take place?

Round two ties will take place week commencing 22 August and we'll announced match details and ticket information once confirmed.
