The annual award recognises the achievements and efforts of players from Scotland's national women's side, with Howard continuing to impress for club and country. 

The centre-back made 21 Barclays Women’s Super League appearances for the Foxes during 2021/22, playing a significant role in helping to retain WSL status for a second season. 

The 29-year-old is in the running alongside five of her international teammates, including Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert and Real Madrid playmaker Caroline Weir.

Bristol City forward Abi Harrison, Samantha Kerr (Rangers) and Claire Emslie (Angel City FC) complete the list of nominees. 

Supporters can click HERE to vote. The voting will close at midnight on Thursday 22 December, while the winner will be revealed on Friday 23 December.
