Tielemans cracked the crossbar late on for the Foxes, who were consigned to a loss on Filbert Way by Aleksandar Mitrović's 17th-minute strike.

City launched 15 efforts on Bernd Leno's goal without reward and their No.8 admits they were left bitterly frustrated at full-time.

"We created some chances," he told LCFC TV. "We played some good football. Obviously, the ball didn't go in today and we could have had three points, but it wasn't meant to be.

Tielemans: Not Meant To Be

Youri Tielemans offers his thoughts on Leicester City's 1-0 reverse to Fulham at King Power Stadium.

"I think we were really unlucky as well in some of our finishing, some of our last passes, so we were very unfortunate not to win, or just score a goal."

Leicester had to be patient to create chances against a deep defensive block, with their best chance of the night falling to Tielemans himself - denied by the woodwork.

"On another day, it goes in," the former AS Monaco star added. "It was a great strike, but, like I said, it wasn't meant to be today.

"I think we grew in the game actually. The more they went back, the more chances we created. Their 'keeper made a couple of great saves as well. We were really unfortunate not to score a goal.

Leicester Fall To Fulham Reverse

Aleksandar Mitrović's goal was the difference as Leicester City lost 1-0 to Fulham at King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

"It's a good performance overall, and I think we can improve in the last pass and the last shot."

It's now three losses in a row for the Foxes, and while the reverse against Newcastle United involved a disappointing performance, there were more positives against Liverpool and Fulham.

"We shouldn't have lost the last two games," Tielemans explained. "Now we've got two great cup games coming up that hopefully we can do something in and then come back to the Premier League full of confidence but it's going to be hard."
