Be Brave On The Ball, Says Barradell
- Leicester City’s youngsters take on Fulham on Saturday (12pm kick-off)
- The U18 Premier League South Division fixture will be played at Motspur Park
- The young Foxes beat Norwich 4-2 in their last competitive fixture
- Barradell said it was nice to get some points on the board
In their last outing, Reece Evans scored at hat-trick, along with Amani Richards, who found the net in a 4-2 outing against Norwich, and Barradell was proud of the team’s display on the day.
“We had some excellent attacking play in the Norwich fixture, it was really pleasing to see the boys score four goals,” the coach told LCFC.com.
“We’ve got into some real attacking situations in previous league games, but haven’t been able to take our chances, so it was great to see us put the ball in the net.
Reece Evans
Reece Evans scored three goals either side of the break during a 4-2 win against Norwich.
“The mood has been good, and we’re excited for the next fixture against Fulham on Saturday. But we played a friendly game on Friday night and then trained at the weekend, so we feel like we’re prepared for the challenge.”
The win was only Leicester’s third this season, having played 10 times in total. But a big three points against the Canaries lifts the Foxes off of bottom spot, one point ahead of Aston Villa, who have played three more games.
“Our challenge will be to back up the performance that we had at Norwich on Saturday,” Barradell continued. “To look at what we did well, and learn from what we didn’t do well.
“Winning breathes confidence, and yes, we’ve had performances that haven’t always had a positive outcome, but it was nice to put three points on the board. We’ll look to do that more heading into the second half of the season.”
They’re a team that will press high and make our lives difficult, but we’ll be prepared for the task, and we’re looking forward to it.
Adam Barradell
Having got a taste of winning, Barradell is hoping the young Foxes will be able to replicate that desire when they tackle Fulham this Saturday (12pm kick-off) at Motspur Park.
He added: “We know Fulham well; we’ve played them numerous times and they’re a team that will challenge you. You’ve got to be good defensively and brave on the ball.
