The 2023 edition of the international seven-a-side tournament sees 16 teams compete for the Main Cup title, with Premier League involvement from the Foxes and current holders Newcastle United, among others, with the pair drawn together in a four-team group.
Ahead of the trip, on Tuesday morning, the side coached by Ben Petty held their final training session inside the indoor dome at LCFC Training Ground, putting in preparations for the competition they last won in 2017 and last attended in 2019.

Coach Ben Petty heads out at LCFC Training Ground ahead of flying to Hong Kong.
Then, earlier this afternoon, the team made their departure south from Seagrave, before jetting off on the 10-and-a-half-hour flight to Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay district.
A squad of 11 players have headed out to East Asia, with goalkeepers Brad Young and Chituru Odunze joined by Joe Wormleighton, Harvey Godsmark-Ford and captain Lewis Brunt in defence.
Midfielders Brandon Cover, Deniche Hill, Kasey McAteer and Wanya Marcal-Madivadua are also off to Hong Kong, along with Kian Pennant and Tawanda Maswanhise – both in the squad to provide attacking quality.
Games will be played in two seven-minute halves, starting on Saturday, with the knockout stages to follow on Sunday – all at the scenic Hong Kong Football Club venue.
The fast-paced action will be covered across LCFC.com and @LCFC on social media. Check back to see how City’s Under-21s get on in Hong Kong.
