Memories Made At Supporter Q&A In Thai Capital

Premier League glory, unforgettable European nights, that one FA Cup triumph and League Cup lifts were all on the agenda during an intimate supporter Q&A in Bangkok on Monday.
More on this story...

An occasion to savour was lit up by four Leicester City stars of yesteryear as Wes Morgan, Emile Heskey, Matt Elliott and Gerry Taggart reminisced about some of the Club's most magical moments in the stunning King Power Mahanakhon skyscraper.

First-come-first-served tickets were swiftly snapped up by supporters eager to celebrate the Foxes’ stay in Thailand and learn more about the Club which was bought by King Power International in 2010.

There was also a live DJ set keeping the mood high alongside a prize draw, hosted by Vice Chairman Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha. Signed shirts and ball were presented to lucky winners in a room which included British expats, Thai celebrities and Bangkok locals.

There were plenty of Thai LCFC fans in attendance in Bangkok.

Morgan was able, of course, to recall his role in the historic 2016 Premier League title win, skippering the side to an unthinkable, odds-defying triumph seven years ago. He was a rock at the back for the Foxes over nine years at the Club, also lifting the Emirates FA Cup after helping his team-mates get over the line in the tightest of finals against Chelsea in 2021.

Asked to name his greatest-ever team-mate, the former defender picked out N’Golo Kanté. Heskey turned to his time at Liverpool, selecting ex-England colleague Michael Owen. Muzzy Izzet, on the other hand, was an easy choice for Elliott and Taggart. That popular defensive duo were also in agreement on their fiercest opponent – Dutch maestro Dennis Bergkamp.

Emile Heskey was among the Foxes legends on stage for the event.

The panel also delivered their verdict on Leicester City’s promotion chances this season, backing Enzo Maresca’s men to challenge for an immediate Premier League return. Elsewhere, there was talk of Thai culture, especially food, before the legends mingled with our guests inside the Parlor restaurant at the Mahanakhon skyscraper, overlooking the city below.
