There was a first group stage defeat for the Football Ferns this Tuesday morning as Sarina Bolden's 24th-minute strike separated the sides at Wellington Regional Stadium.

Leicester City defender CJ Bott played 90 minutes of the contest, as she did in their opening day win over Norway, which leaves Jitka Klimková's side second in Group A, on three points from two games.

New Zealand face leaders Switzerland in their final group stage match on Sunday (8am kick-off), aiming to qualify for the knockout stages for the first time.
