Leicester City supporters attending this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship game against QPR will receive a special tribute scarf in honour of the Club’s late chairman, Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
- Leicester City supporters to be given a scarf honouring Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
- Scarves to be left on supporters’ seats at Loftus Road
The Foxes travel to Loftus Road on Saturday 28 October (3pm BST kick-off), with a tribute scarf to be left on each seat in the away section.
Today (27 October) marks five years since the helicopter accident that claimed the lives of our late Chairman, Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha; staff members Kaveporn Punpare and Nusara Suknamai; and pilots Eric Swaffer and Izabela Lechowicz, as they departed King Power Stadium following a home game against West Ham United.
Tuesday night’s fixture against Sunderland saw supporters join together for a moment of reflection ahead of kick-off, to remember the five lives lost and to celebrate Khun Vichai’s enduring legacy. Prior to the match, fans were invited to the VS Memorial Garden to pay their respects, while a special clap banner was designed for the occasion.
Fans have the opportunity to support the Club’s ongoing charitable work in Khun Vichai’s name, with a limited range of products on-sale from the Foxes Fanstore, with net proceeds donated in full to the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation.
The charitable foundation, renamed in our late Chairman's honour, continues to embody his spirit by funding various community projects that make a tangible difference to the lives of people in Leicester and Leicestershire.
