Dewsbury-Hall: Cherish These Moments

The Academy graduate's header put the Foxes on course for victory in the Black Country, before Josh Maja's 89th-minute leveller for the Baggies.

Coming three days after being denied three points late on at Sheffield Wednesday, City broke away on the counter in the 94th minute to rectify the situation and snatch victory from West Brom, who were pushing late on for a win of their own.

It was Dewsbury-Hall who laid on the assist for Harry Winks' dramatic winner and Leicester's No.22 was thrilled at full-time.

"What a feeling!" he beamed. "There's not many better feelings in the world than that, to be honest. I’m just happy. I'm proud of the lads' mentality. It's horrible conceding right at the end.

"The fact that we stuck together… we got another chance and manage to take it. It's credit to the lads and it's fantastic to get a win away from home. If that doesn't show people how connected we are as a group, everybody absolutely over the moon, then I don't know what will.

"They are the sort of moments in football you have to really cherish because you get so many bad moments. The good moments, you have to make the most of them and you see that at the end, the celebrations are fantastic.

"I'm just happy that the crowd managed to get the win. Sometimes early kick-offs on a Saturday, they make or break your weekend. Luckily for us, it has hopefully made a lot of Leicester fans' weekend and they can enjoy the rest of the time.

"It's great mentality. Games are coming thick and fast every three days and, for us to shake off what happened in the week and go again and get a late goal… but for us this time to respond in the right way shows growth.

"Nothing is going to be perfect in football. You're going to have times where things go against you, but the fact that we managed to do what we did today is very pleasing for everybody involved."

Thinking back to the game's decisive moment and his role in it, Dewsbury-Hall added: "As soon as I've seen it drop and Kel (Kelechi Iheanacho) turned, I thought I've got to go here and, credit to him, it's a great ball and I was one on one. but they're the sort of moments where you can't be selfish.

"I could have easily shot there and scored, but then I could have shot and missed, so I wasn't willing to take that chance. I'd rather put it on a plate for someone else to score rather than myself.

"That's not the moment to be selfish so I squared it to Winksy and thankfully, he scored."

Dewsbury-Hall's own goal, meanwhile, was a well-worked team goal, straight off the training pitches.

"We’ve worked it really well down the right," the 25-year-old explained. "We got a great ball and we practice that move all the time in training.

"We do patterns of play like that, an inside run from the no.8, dinking it to the back post and the other opposite no.8 making the box and you've seen it there. It worked perfectly. Thankfully, Wilf [Ndidi] found me with a great ball and I just put it in the net."

It's now 15 wins from 19 matches for the Foxes, who continue to lead the way in the Sky Bet Championship despite the unrelenting form of Ipswich Town and others at the upper end of the table.

"I mean you can't really ask for much more," KDH continued. "We had a little blip. Every team has one, but now it's about trying to get back on that winning mentality.

"Seven points from the last three games in a week, you can't really grumble at that. Now it's about dusting ourselves down. We've got a bit of tim to rest and recover and go again next week and then there’s so many games coming up.

"Before you know it, we could be looking good again. It's just important now to keep going."
