Only Ndidi Out For Leeds, Says Maresca
- Enzo Maresca has offered an update on the fitness of his squad
- Leicester City take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Friday (8pm GMT kick-off)
- Only Wilfred Ndidi is out from the senior members of City's squad
- Will Alves has sustained a muscular problem in Under-21s action
The Foxes head to Elland Road for a meeting of the Sky Bet Championship's top two with Maresca's men currently holding a nine-point advantage at the summit.
With only central midfielder Wilfred Ndidi out injured from the First Team group, City are in good shape ahead of the trip to Yorkshire, although the Manager admits it's an area lacking in options.
Young midfielder Will Alves, on the other hand, picked up a minor muscular problem in a recent Under-21s outing and will be monitored by the Club's medical staff. Centre-back Ben Nelson has also recovered from a problem of his own.
"Ben is back," Maresca told the media on Thursday afternoon. "The only one at the moment is Wilf. He is still injured. One of our best players, or best position, is Wilf. When he’s not there, we used Cesare.
"Now they’re not there so we try to adapt. Unfortunately Wilf is still injured. We have also Will Alves. The other day, for the U21s, he got a muscular problem. It could be three or four weeks. That’s all."
