During an insightful afternoon in the typical British summer, City fans managed to get a first sight into Amandine Miquel’s new setup at LCFC Women, watching on from the stands while the team were put through their paces.

As pre-season preparations stepped up a notch, there were plenty of fun-filled activations and engagement opportunities, including pictures with players; both new and existing, which Cayman was proud to be a part of.

“It’s always fun to be at King Power Stadium,” the Belgium international stated. “Especially when our fans are here, so it’s a special moment to practice in front of them and it was a great contest too.

Janice Cayman is building up to her second season at City.

“I think we made training a little bit more attractive for the fans today, but as a player it was competitive so each week we’re getting better.

“It’s a special day to bond together with the fans, and they (the Men's First Team) were here training before us, so I think it’s very cool to have this togetherness as a club.”

Prior to the open training session, it was confirmed that every one of Leicester’s WSL home games this season will take place on Filbert Way, so the midweek practice was a perfect opportunity for the new signings to get accustomed to the home of LCFC.

Cayman, who is now entering her second year with the Foxes, was delighted to be back and reunited with the supporters, labelling them and the impressive facilities at the players' disposal as key factors for their ever-growing success.

Meeting the fans after Tuesday's open training session.

“It’s super important to have the fans backing and the use of this stadium,” the 35-year-old continued. “We know it’s one of the best pitches in the league, so to be able to play here is great for us but also the fans because it’s more fun for them to come along.

“I think we’re lucky to have this facility and have these fans, and we just need to make sure we play attractive football to excite them.”

Now preparing for a fourth consecutive season in the Barclays Women’s Super League, City’s No.11 hopes that they can bring a show to the Leicester fans this year, outlining the key ambition for the games to come.

Cayman added: “I’m very happy to be back and I’m excited for the league to start. We’re all back in now and working hard in pre-season and of course, we’ll have to see what our objectives are but either way it’ll be to win as many games as possible.”
