An Argentina international, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder has won two senior caps for his country, and switches to King Power Stadium for the entire 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
He made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls last term, scoring on four occasions, and now adds to Steve Cooper's attacking options going into the first game of the season later this month.
Speaking to Foxes Hub, he said: “I’m very happy to be here at this incredible and important Club. I hope to show my best for the group and that we achieve great things. I spoke a lot with the manager, and he filled me with confidence - it was an easy decision for me to come here.
“It’s a big opportunity for me and for this reason I had no doubts about coming. I’m here to help the Club to finish as high as possible in the league.”
Born in Santa Fe, Buonanotte is a product of Rosario Central’s youth system, and made his professional debut for the club in February 2022. The youngster went on to represent the team a further 33 times before completing a transfer to the AMEX Stadium in January 2023.
Facundo would then make his Premier League debut against Bournemouth a month later, before netting his first goal for the club at Nottingham Forest in April 2023.
Last season, he made 27 top-flight appearances and also featured for the Sussex outfit in the UEFA Europa League.
Internationally, Buonanotte made his senior Argentina debut against Indonesia in June 2023 and earned his second cap in a victory over El Salvador in March 2024.
The new City signing will now link up with his Foxes team-mates ahead of the Premier League opener with Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on Monday 19 August.
