The Foxes camp
It's been three positive performances for the Foxes this term, but are still awaiting their first win. Drawing with Liverpool on the opening day, City have since lost to Arsenal before picking up a point in Group D of the Women's League Cup on Wednesday, but lost on penalties to Bristol City.
Academy starlet Nelly Las was named in the starting XI at Pirelli Stadium, making her senior debut, while winger Shana Chossenotte scored her first goal in Leicester colours since her summer move from French side Stade de Reims.
The opposition
Crystal Palace, this year's new side in the top flight, are currently propping up the league, with two tough fixtures to kickstart their WSL campaign; losing 4-0 to Tottenham Hotspur before reigning champions Chelsea put seven past them at Selhurst Park.
Topping the second division last year with 46 points, one ahead of Charlton Athletic, Welsh forward Elise Hughes won the division's golden boot, returning 16 goals in 21 league appearances, while Sunday afternoon could also see the return of former Foxes Josie Green, Aimee Everett and Annabel Blanchard.
In the dugout
Since July of last year, Laura Kaminski has been Manager of Palace, and after winning the Championship in her first season, now has the opportunity to prove her tactics in the WSL.
An extensive coaching resume which includes time with Tottenham, Arsenal, Brighton, Watford, QPR and Chelsea, she has taken charge of the south London outfit 29 times, winning on 16 occasions, drawing four and losing the other nine, adding up to a win percentage of 55 per cent.
Last time out
The two sides have met on three occasions, all during the 2020/21 season when Leicester were crowned champions, with the Foxes winning both times in the league and once in the League Cup.
Beating Crystal Palace 4-1 in mid-October 2020, which included a brace from now Southampton Women Manager Remi Allen, the scores were much closer come February of the next year, but City came out on top once more, winning 1-0.
