Speaking at the event, Ricardo said: “It’s been an honour to be part of this celebration and to share such a special day. Events like this are important for highlighting the incredible contributions of Black culture, both historically and today.
“I’m proud to celebrate Black History Month with Leicester City. Seeing everyone come together, enjoying the activities and learning about the culture, shows how much this means to the community.”

Black History Month happens every October in the UK and gives everyone the opportunity to share, celebrate and understand the impact of black heritage and culture.
This year’s theme of Reclaiming Narratives is about revisiting history and taking ownership of the stories about culture, contributions and identity that define people from the black community.
Leicester City’s game against Nottingham Forest on Friday 25 October is dedicated to No Room For Racism, a Premier League initiative highlighting clubs’ ongoing commitment to tackling discrimination and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
