Foxes Duo Nominated For October Awards

- Sophie Howard and Yuka Momiki shortlisted for October awards

LCFC Women duo Sophie Howard and Yuka Momiki have both earned nominations for the Barclays Women’s Super League October awards.

Howard has been shortlisted for the Player of the Month award following her standout performances against Aston Villa and Everton. 

The defender played a pivotal role in helping City secure back-to-back clean sheets, contributing to a 0-0 draw at Villa Park and a 1-0 victory at King Power Stadium, as Amandine Miquel’s team collected four important points.

Momiki, meanwhile, is in the running for the Goal of the Month award, thanks to her sensational strike during the victory over Everton on Filbert Way last Sunday. 

The 28-year-old intelligently linked-up with Shana Chossennote in midfield, before nutmegging her opposing defender and slotting a clinical finish into the bottom corner to help the Foxes onto three points.
