Leicester City can confirm that defender Tom Parkes has today (Thursday) completed a permanent transfer to Bristol Rovers.
The 20-year-old centre-back has agreed personal terms and tied up the formalities of the deal on Thursday.
A graduate of the City Academy, Tom makes the switch to the West Country following a successful loan spell with the Pirates last season, where he made 14 league appearances for Mark McGhee’s side during the second half of the campaign. He has also spent time on loan with Burton Albion and Yeovil Town after turning professional in 2010.
Though without a competitive appearance to his name in Leicester blue, Tom featured in the Club’s pre-season campaign this summer and scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Sunderland at King Power Stadium.
He departs with the best wishes of everyone at the Football Club.
