Albrighton: Start On The Front Foot
- Marc Albrighton is eyeing a fast start against Chelsea at King Power Stadium on Saturday
- The winger cannot wait to return to Premier League action following the international break
- Albrighton discussed how his side will combat Chelsea’s 3-4-3 formation ahead of the game
Following the first international break of the 2017/18 season, the Foxes return to Premier League action against the reigning champions this weekend.
While delighted to see so many City stars representing their nations over the past 10 days, Albrighton is now ready for the campaign to resume.
“Obviously, we’d rather keep going, but when the break comes you’ve got to take the time off and use it wisely to get a bit of training in,” said City’s No.11.
“There weren’t many players around because we’ve got a lot of international footballers. That’s a credit to the Football Club.
Albrighton's Praise For City Mentality
Marc Albrighton says Leicester City head into Saturday's clash against Chelsea with a positive mindset.
“When we’re here, there’s only six or seven of us training, but we got a bit of time off as well. We’re raring to go now.
“The lads that go away are still playing and they’re in and around games with their countries, but here it’s just training. I’m a fan of getting the games going.”
Chelsea head into the game on the back of consecutive wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Everton and Albrighton believes it could be an interesting affair, as two former Foxes return to King Power Stadium.
The wideman continued: “It’s going to be a good occasion with Chelsea coming to King Power Stadium.

Albrighton features for the Foxes at Old Trafford.
“It’s going to be special with the added incentive of Drinky (Danny Drinkwater) and N’Golo Kanté coming back as well. It’ll be a tasty one and we’re all looking forward to it.
“We feel confident that we can get all three points. When you’re at home, you want to set your stall out that you can beat anyone and we’ve got that mentality.
“It’s the right mentality to have and we feel that if we can start well and get them on the back foot early on, we can go from there. Hopefully we can get a few goals.”
Antonio Conte’s men have been highly-effective in a 3-4-3 stratagem over this season and last, but Albrighton says his City team-mates know how to combat that system.

He said: “We’re coming up against teams playing with wing-backs quite a lot this season. We’re a solid 4-4-2, which we have been for many years.
“We don’t want to change too much and we want to stick to what we know. We’ve got to do different jobs in stopping their wing-backs.
“It is difficult, but we’ll work on it throughout the week. It’s not something that’s new to us. We know our job roles and we’ve got to put them into action.
“I’ve played it a few times now and it is a role where you feel like you get a lot more space and a lot more freedom and space to move into. It’s down to the opposition to nullify them.”
