The 21-year-old winger scored the only goal at King Power Stadium as the Foxes overcame Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
City are now up to ninth in the table, five points away from sixth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, with five wins, draws and defeats from their opening 15 matches of the 2017/18 campaign.
Gray’s second league goal of the season required him to clatter into the post to bundle it home and the England Under-21s international was just pleased to contribute.
Gray Delighted To Get On The Scoresheet
Demarai Gray talks to LCFC TV after he scored the only goals of the game against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday...
“It was a sore one but sometimes you’ve got to take one for the team and it paid off today,” Gray told LCFC TV at full-time on Filbert Way.
“We’ve been doing well, we’ve only lost one in 10 games. We’re getting the momentum we’ve needed and we’re a tough team to beat.
“We saw it out today and, so long as we keep doing that, we can keep pushing up the table.
We’re doing well as a team and I think we need to keep this momentum now.

"The manager likes to rotate the team sometimes so when you get brought in, you need to try and contribute in some way and thankfully I did that today."
Gray was joined by Riyad Mahrez and Marc Albrighton in an attacking three behind striker Jamie Vardy and the former Birmingham City man revealed his desire to continue in that role.
“I’ve played there a few times and, with players like Riyad and Marc, you can rotate a little bit,” he added. “I do enjoy it because that’s my game. We’ve been working on it in training.
