International Round-Up: Wednesday & Thursday

A number of Leicester City's First Team and Development Squad players helped their nations to wins as the international action got underway this week.

- Five Foxes were in international action over Wednesday and Thursday
- Each helped their national side to victory 
- Three Development Squad players featured for England Youth Teams
- Mahrez starred for Algeria against Tanzania

Over 20 Foxes stars are away on international duty, with five selected to start in games on Wednesday and Thursday evening.

Young winger Callum Wright was the first in action, playing the full 90 minutes for England U18s in a 4-0 win over Qatar at St. George's Park on Wednesday.

The game was the first of three over the international break for England U18s, who will now take on Argentina and Belarus.

Harvey Barnes and Darnell Johnson helped the Young Lions continue their winning run on Thursday night, starting for England U20s in a 1-0 win against Poland in Bielsko-Biała.

They will now look ahead to meeting Portugal on Tuesday at Manchester City's Academy Stadium.

In the senior action, Riyad Mahrez helped Algeria defeat Tanzania in Algiers.

The Foxes playmaker claimed two assists as The Desert Warriors finished 4-1 winners on Thursday.

Kasper Schmeichel kept a clean sheet as Denmark beat Panama 1-0 in another international friendly.

Both players could feature again on Tuesday in games against Iran and Chile, respectively.

Even more Foxes stars could be in action over the weekend.

Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy could feature in Amsterdam as England take on Holland at Johan Cruyff Arena.

Others to look out for include Kelechi Ịheanachọ and Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria), Adrien Silva (Portugal) and Aleksandar Dragović (Austria).

Yohan Benalouane could make his Tunisia debut against Iran on Friday evening.
