Schmeichel & Ndidi Impress On International Stage

- Kasper Schmeichel, Wilfred Ndidi and Viktor Johansson featured for their countries on Saturday
- Schmeichel's Denmark remain unbeaten in UEFA Nations League Group B4
- The Danes drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland at Aviva Stadium 
- Wilfred Ndidi helped Nigeria to a 4-0 win over Libya in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying
- Young shot-stopper Viktor Johansson was in goal as Sweden's Under-20s defeated Denmark

The Leicester City goalkeeper, nominated for the FIFA Best Goalkeeper Award earlier this year, was once again in assured form for his country. 

Without Christian Eriksen, the Danes were still a dominant presence over Martin O'Neill's men, but lacked the decisiveness required in front of goal to seal three points.

As a result, Schmeichel's Denmark remain top of Group B4 following their earlier 2-0 victory over Wales in Aarhus last month.

Foxes midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, meanwhile, also played the full 90 minutes as Nigeria overcame Libya 4-0 in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on Saturday.

Odion Ighalo netted a hat-trick for Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, while Samuel Kalu completed the scoring late on.

Nigeria, who were without Kelechi Iheanacho on Saturday, are currently second - a qualification berth - in Group E with six points, two more than Libya.

Finally, young goalkeeper Viktor Johansson also saw action as Sweden's Under-20s ran out as 3-1 winners over Denmark at Municipal de Marbella on Saturday.

On Sunday, Çağlar Söyüncü could make his second appearance of the current international break when Turkey head to Russia in the Nations League (5pm BST kick-off).
