Jamie Vardy’s solitary second-half strike proved to be enough for the Foxes to return from the capital with all three points following a brilliant display at Stamford Bridge.
Chilwell, who alongside all of those involved, earned plenty of plaudits at the full-time whistle, but believes City must now focus their energy on facing Pep Guardiola’s outfit.

“We knew, starting today (Saturday), it was going to be a difficult few games, so if we could get off to a good start today, it would put us in good stead for the next few weeks,” said the Academy graduate.
“Everyone’s really happy. We’ll recover now and get ready for Wednesday against Man City.”

The win against Chelsea was City’s first at Stamford Bridge in 18 years, and Chilwell emphasised his side’s determination to succeed at the final whistle.
He added: “It was a brilliant performance. All the boys dug in there and everyone’s very happy now.
“I feel like we’ve deserved a result like that this season and we’ve been working really hard on the training pitch, so to get that result at Stamford Bridge was amazing.”
