- Wout Faes featured in Belgium's 2-1 reverse to France on Monday
- Randal Kolo Muani struck twice for the visitors in Brussels in the UEFA Nations League
- This outing was Faes' 23rd in Belgium's colours
The Belgian Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat by 2018 FIFA World Cup champions France at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels in the UEFA Nations League, leaving them third in League A Group 2.
Faes, as has become the norm for Domenico Tedesco's men, played from start to finish on matchday four in the competition following last week's 2-2 draw in Italy.
Randal Kolo Muani's 35th-minute spot-kick put the visitors ahead in the Belgian capital, before Loïs Openda restored parity just before the break.
Muani, though, would put France back ahead just after the hour-mark and ultimately seal victory for the French. Despite being reduced to 10 men after Aurélien Tchouaméni's dismissal, the visitors would be able to hold on for three points.
