The Leicester City attacker was involved throughout at Nicaragua National Football Stadium as a Josue Quijano own goal, followed by Romario Williams’ second-half strike, secured a second successive away win for Steve McLaren’s side in League A Group 2.

That result keeps the Reggae Boyz top of the standings, on seven points from their opening three fixtures prior to hosting Honduras at Independence Park in Kingston on Tuesday (2am kick-off).

Later on Friday, Wilfred Ndidi’s Nigeria overcame Libya 1-0 in qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations. The combative midfielder played 74 minutes of the contest at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium before being replaced by Raphael Onyedika; the winner coming courtesy of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's late goal.

Remaining top of Group D, one point ahead of Benin, the Super Eagles have claimed two wins and a draw so far, with Tuesday’s return fixture against Libya an 8pm kick-off at Martyrs of February Stadium in Benghazi.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Danny Ward earned his 43rd senior international cap during Wales' 2-2 draw with Iceland at Laugardalsvöllur in the UEFA Nations League.

Goals from Brennan Johnson and then Harry Wilson put Craig Bellamy's men in a commanding position at the break, but the hosts produced a second-half comeback to level the tie - Logi Tómasson and a Ward own goal within the space of three minutes meaning both sides shared the points.

The shot-stopper could make another appearance for the Dragons on Monday evening when Montenegro travel to the Welsh capital. It's set for a 7:45pm kick-off at Cardiff City Stadium with Wales currently second in Group A, on five points from their three games, heading into the fixture in Cardiff.

International action continues for the Foxes over the weekend, with Denmark's Mads Hermansen, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen all in line for minutes on Saturday, as is Bilal El Khannouss for Morocco. Check back to LCFC.com, the LCFC App and @LCFC on social media to see how they get on.
