Now a Wales international after her senior bow in October 2021, Cain was previously capped for the Lionesses at Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-21s level, and also represented Wales at youth level.
Although limited by injury for the early months of her maiden season at the Club, Cain made her debut for the Foxes in a 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers just before Christmas.
Her quality and importance to the team, meanwhile, was further demonstrated with her first goal in Leicester's colours, sealing a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Farley Way Stadium in February 2021.
Cain suffered an ACL injury, ruling her out for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and the first half of the 2022/23 campaign, but returned to the City squad stronger, scoring three goals across all competitions before committing to a long-term deal, keeping her on Filbert Way until 2025.
She scored her first goal of the current term at Pirelli Stadium, finding the net in a second half Continental Tyres League Cup match against Liverpool, a side which were beaten on home soil last season by the Foxes after the No.21 turned in a clever corner routine early into the game.
