The Polish goalkeeper, who joined the Foxes in 2019, was handed his league debut for the Club in a Sky Bet Championship victory away to Huddersfield Town just over four years later, keeping a clean sheet while deputising for the injured Mads Hermansen. Preferred over more experienced back-up ‘keepers, it wouldn’t be Stolarczyk’s last minutes of the season, with the Pole becoming Enzo Maresca’s cup goalkeeper of choice in 2023/24.
Between the sticks for Carabao Cup wins at Burton Albion and Tranmere Rovers, as well as Emirates FA Cup success over Millwall, Birmingham City and AFC Bournemouth, there was also opportunities for the Pole to play at Anfield and Stamford Bridge in cup competitions. Six clean sheets in nine appearances across the season was an impressive return for the 23-year-old.
The former Poland youth international was handed his chance after becoming a consistent and impressive performer for Leicester City’s Under-21s, previously featuring as a substitute in a UEFA Europa League fixture against Legia Warsaw in November 2021.
Stolarczyk earned professional experience with Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland's second tier during the 2021/22 season, conceding just 13 goals in 11 matches in the Scottish Championship, keeping two clean sheets, as they finished ninth in the table.
The shot-stopper enjoyed a fruitful pre-season back with the Foxes, playing in first team games against OH Leuven and Derby County, before being sent out on loan to Sky Bet League 1 side Fleetwood for the first half of 2022/23.
With the Cods, he made seven appearances in total, playing a pivotal role in their FA Cup campaign by featuring in three ties as Fleetwood reached the fourth round for the first time. A loan spell at Hartlepool United was next up, where he made 17 appearances in 2022/23.
Now a title-winner with LCFC, Stolarczyk was handed the honour of being in goal when City clinched the Sky Bet Championship trophy at Preston North End in April 2024, keeping a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory at Deepdale.
