Kaba Sherif's Wonder Goal At Exeter
Development Squad midfielder Lamine Kaba Sherif scores a brilliant volley in a 1-1 draw with Exeter City in the Premier League Cup.
“As it was coming, I just looked at it and I thought ‘I’m going to hit this!’ I kept my eyes on the ball as it came down, swung my foot at it and thankfully it went in.
“When you’re in training, sometimes those moments present themselves and you always swing for it and most of time it goes miles wide. Turned out to be a good goal, though, didn’t it?!”
With City still in with a chance of silverware in Premier League 2, the Premier League Cup and the Premier League International Cup, excitement continues to build among the Under-23s squad.
It’s all motivation for us to push on to try to improve so either we can go out on loan or push on towards the first team over the coming months.
Lamine Kaba Sherif
Kaba Sherif added: “It would be great if we were able to win something this season, that’s our aim, and this cup is an opportunity to do that.
“We’ve got to get through every round, playing well, and focussing on winning those games.
“We’ve been doing well this season, playing well as well, and the lads who have gone out on loan are doing well too.
“It’s all motivation for us to push on to try to improve so either we can go out on loan or push on towards the first team over the coming months.”
