The Belgium international midfielder converted Jamie Vardy’s unselfish pass to put the Foxes 1-0 up at King Power Stadium before Floyd Ayité levelled matters after the interval.

But City’s persistence resulted in all three Premier League points, with Vardy scoring a fine eight-minute brace on Filbert Way.

Tielemans told LCFC TV: “First of all, I want to thank Jamie Vardy for giving me the ball at that moment. He was rewarded after that with the two goals so thanks to him and I’m really happy for the win.

Tielemans: Rewarded With A Win

Youri Tielemans spoke with LCFC TV after facing Fulham and claiming a 3-1 victory at King Power Stadium.

“I know he’s not a selfish guy. I was there and he gave the pass perfectly, so I had to finish it and I thanked him at the moment and he’s a really nice guy. After that he got his two goals, so he was really happy.

“Of course, we felt really good with confidence and with our type of play and the hard week we had. It was really good to be rewarded with a win today and we will keep improving as the weeks come, we will see.”

Midfielder Tielemans felt his side recovered well from their setback early on in the second period, and hopes City can replicate their positive display against Burnley at Turf Moor next weekend.

We will work hard this week to get the points away from home and I hope we will get them before the international break.

“I felt comfortable in the first half especially," he added. "In the second half we were down after five minutes but I think we came back strong in the game and we deserved to win.

“It was a good game for us at home, we put the pressure on the other team, and we kept going forward so it was really good.

“We will work hard this week to get the points away from home and I hope we will get them before the international break.”
