Young Foxes Defeated By Leaders Brighton
The young Foxes went into the fixture at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre following successive draws with Norwich City and Reading earlier this month.
However, despite naming a strong matchday squad, including three players - Dennis Gyamfi, Sidnei Tavares and Dempsey Arlott-John - who represented the Club at the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens in May, City fell to their maiden defeat of the new campaign in Brighton.
Midfielder Stefan Vukoje gave the Seagulls a first-half lead in the 25th minute, while Jack Spong's strike 10 minutes after the break sent Brighton to the top of the South standings.
Following Leicester's third fixture this term, they lie in ninth place with two points from their opening three matches in the Under-18s league, while Brighton and Chelsea are the only two teams with nine.
On Wednesday, City will continue their pursuit of a first win when they entertain Fulham at St George's Park in Burton-upon-Trent (5pm BST kick-off).
