"It was not easy! When they scored the second goal (ruled out for offside), we were a little bit frustrated because we were playing well and a second goal like that was frustrating.
"Fortunately, the VAR said it was offside and that was another motivation for us because one goal down… we had time to come back in the game and that’s what we did."
Ricardo was pleased to have an impact on the game in attacking areas and outlines the importance it could have on City's upcoming fixtures on two fronts.
"It feels good to help the team," he added. "I know I have to defend first, but when I have the chance to give my support to the team, I am very happy to score and with the win… even better!
We have some games coming and it’s important for the team to gain confidence, to be ready for the games that are coming and so it’s good to win.

"I was calling the ball to come to me! Fortunately, when I saw it came to me, I tried to score and I had a bit of luck, but it was good to come back in the game.
"We still had 20 minutes in the game and Maddison at the end was perfect. Yes, all the wins give confidence to us.
