City's Women Pick Up First Win At Lewes
Ahead of kick-off, it was confirmed that Georgia Popple and Paige Bailey-Gayle would return to the Foxes' line-up for the sixth league outing of 2018/20 at The Dripping Pan.
Following a first half which saw Popple, Bailey-Gayle and goalkeeper Scarlett Field all impress, City cemented their dominance following the interval.
Leicester opened the scoring on 50 minutes as Annabel Blanchard drove into the box and went for goal, only for Faye Baker's save to land at Hayley James' feet to convert.

City's three-goal victory propels them up the league standings.
Just after the hour-mark, meanwhile, Lachante Paul doubled their lead, breaking into space, picking her spot and curling it wonderfully into the net from the edge of the 18-yard box.
With eight minutes remaining, substitute Libby Smith sealed the points by latching onto a through ball before rounding the 'keeper and slotting home to seal a first win of the season.
As a result, the Foxes climb to eighth in the FA Women's Championship standings with four points from six matches and a goal difference of -10.
Next Sunday, City return to Continental Cup action as Women’s Super League side Birmingham City visit Farley Way Stadium in Group C.
