Morgan: Show What We're Capable Of
- LCFC Women host Manchester City in the Women's FA Cup Quarter-Finals on Sunday (2pm kick-off)
- Manager Jonathan Morgan has called on the Foxes to demonstrate their qualities against their illustrious visitors
- The tie has been rescheduled after the competition was originally suspended in March due to COVID-19
- Morgan also discussed the benefits of playing at home, despite no fans being able to attend in person
The Citizens, holders of the Women's FA Cup, visit Farley Way Stadium in a rearranged 2019/20 quarter-final tie, which was postponed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Leicester have made an encouraging start to their first campaign as a professional outfit and are keen to justify their ambitions in the FA Women's Championship with a strong performance, Morgan says.
"Whenever you play any WSL1 team, it's brilliant for us," he told LCFC TV. "We want to go out and give our all, show what we're capable of and why we're pushing to be in WSL1 for next season.
"We've had a good taste of it this year already with our pre-season friendlies, where we came off with three victories against WSL1 teams.
Morgan Hoping For Underdog Spirit

"It's not made any easier by the FA ruling of only allowing us to use six new players that have signed, which when you've signed 11 and you have to pick six out of 11, it's an interesting challenge.
"We're very, very confident that, with the squad that we do have and the depth we have, that we're going to put in a very, very strong performance for Man City."
The Foxes have so far defeated Burnley and Reading - a Women's Super League side - in the competition and Morgan is hopeful that LCFC Women can 'hone in' on that underdog spirit once again.
"That was a magical night, a night to remember, a true underdog story one may say," he added. "We're a lot stronger than we were when we played Reading and we feel a lot better from that point of view.
"But at the same time, we're under no illusions that we are the underdogs again and that mentality and that spirit that we honed in on that particular night is definitely what we're going to need again on Sunday.
"I must admit the fans being there that night made a massive, massive difference in a home tie and we will miss them on Sunday.
"It's our ground and it's our pitch, so obviously everyone likes to play at home. We can do it the way we want to do it, and we can set up the facility the way we want it set up.
"That benefits us rather than Man City, obviously, and obviously playing at home is always an advantage because we have to travel and all that comes along with it, so I'm happy that we have got a home tie."
