This Week In History: Ricardo Off The Mark, Dyer's Late Winner & Flying High In The Championship
On 10 October 1992, City triumphed 2-0 over Birmingham City to cap off a fine start to the 1992/93 Division One season.
The Foxes had lost just two of their opening 10 games and they continued that run in front of 13,443 fans at St. Andrews.
Bobby Davison and Julian Joachim were both on the scoresheet that day, helping Leicester to eventually finish sixth, reaching the end of season play-offs, before being beaten by Swindon Town in the final at Wembley.
Sunday 4 October 2008, meanwhile, marked 12 years since Leicester City’s 3-2 away win at Huddersfield Town during the League 1 promotion campaign.
Matty Fryatt broke the deadlock, diverting in Nicky Adams' cross five minutes after the break and the Foxes forward would make it two from the spot on 65 minutes, converting a penalty after Jim Goodwin was penalised for handball.
Town were back in the game just four minutes later as Gary Roberts found the bottom corner with a fierce strike from the edge of the area. The comeback was complete when Liam Dickinson headed home from six yards out.
Then, in injury time, Lloyd Dyer's looping shot found its way into the net to snatch back three points for City and extend their lead at the top of the League 1 table.
Four years on, on 6 October 2012, Leicester were looking for another promotion, this time to the Premier League, and Nigel Pearson's side secured a fifth-straight victory by beating Bristol City 2-0 at King Power Stadium.
David Nugent was played through by strike partner Jamie Vardy to open the scoring, racing away before calmly guiding the ball past Robins 'keeper Tom Heaton for his fifth of the season.
The Foxes doubled their lead in the second period via an own goal - Bristol defender Richard Foster heading Andy King's cross into his own net.
The result took City up to second in the Championship table, having won their opening five home league games.
Fast-forwarding another six years, also on 6 October, City's Premier League clash with Everton at King Power Stadium provided a memorable moment for one player in particular.
Having signed for the Club from FC Porto in May 2018, Portuguese defender Ricardo Pereira scored his first goal in Leicester colours against the Toffees.
Richarlison found the net for the visitors just seven minutes in, but on his 25th birthday, Ricardo hit back to level the scores ahead of the interval.

After exchanging passes with Kelechi Iheanacho, the full-back eased past Jonjoe Kenny, creating space in the box for a low shot that nestled inside the near post via a touch from Jordan Pickford.
It would, however, end in defeat for 10-man City, who had captain Wes Morgan sent off after picking up a second yellow card in the second-half.
Gylfi Sigurdsson then hammered home the visitors' winner on 77 minutes, with a stunning strike from 25 yards out.
