At Sinobo Stadium in Prague, Ward made his 21st appearance during the Group E clash, as the Dragons took the lead on 36 minutes through Aaron Ramsey.
However, the hosts restored parity before the break thanks to an effort from Jakub Pešek, before Ward allowed a pass from Ramsey to find the Wales net for 2-1. But Wales rallied and were able to claim a point from the fixture thanks to Dan James’ strike with 21 minutes remaining in the Czech capital.
Ward’s involvement follows the seven Foxes who represented their nations on Thursday, when the international break got underway.
The Welsh now sit third in Group E with seven points from four games, while Belgium lead the way on 16 points, but have played an additional two matches.
